Awards

We are proud to share details of some of our school’s awards and achievements with you.

RE Gold Quality Mark

The school has the Gold Quality Mark for embedding excellent, creative and innovative RE practice throughout the school and for recognition as outstanding in the wider community.

School Games

The School Games, which is funded by Sport England National Lottery funding and delivered by the Youth Sport Trust, is a government led programme designed to deliver competitive school sport to all young people. The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.

Rights Respecting Schools - Bronze Award

The UK Committee for UNICEF (UNICEF UK) works with schools in the UK to create safe and inspiring places to learn, where children are respected, their talents are nurtured and they are able to thrive. The Rights Respecting Schools Award embeds these values in daily school life and gives children the best chance to lead happy, healthy lives and to be responsible, active citizens. The Award recognises a school’s achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child into practice within the school and beyond.

Music Mark

Music Mark members are leaders of music education and collectively form a national network of organisations and individuals providing high-quality music education for all children and young people. They consist of music services and/or lead organisations of music education hubs, their partners and schools.

Christ Church is proud to have been designated a Music Mark school.

‘Music Mark Schools have been nominated for their recognition of the value of music as part of the curriculum and are actively engaged in improving music education provision within their school community.’

School Gardening Award

We've been awarded our Level 1 School Gardening Award from RHS.  This has been awarded for setting up Little Green Fingers, our gardening club.
