PTA

Hello!

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is devoted to supporting the school by enhancing children's learning experiences and providing additional resources. Our mission is to create a strong bond between the school and home communities by encouraging parents to actively participate in their child's education.

Our committee, consisting of passionate volunteers, manages the PTA, and we also have a team of wider volunteers who help with fundraising. We are parents, carers, friends, and allies, just like you.

We firmly believe that "little extras" can significantly impact a child's education. That's why we provide activities such as cinema trips, playground equipment, activity days, movie nights, and Break the Rules days. We also organise social events for parents and children to get together and have fun.

Helping Out

We invite you to join us in making a positive contribution to the school community. With your valuable time and skills, you can help us improve education for all our pupils and build a supportive community for your child. Remember, you don't have to commit a lot of time to volunteering. Even an hour of your time can make a big difference. You can help us design posters, set up events, serve food, or perform other tasks from home. If you have specific skills or expertise, please let us know. We value all contributions, no matter how big or small.

If you're passionate about your child’s education and want to get involved, or learn more about the PTA, please email us or look out for one of our committee members at school. We would love to have your support!

Look what you've funded!

We always try to respond when asked to help the school, and after the work is done, it’s so rewarding to see the children enjoy new resources and equipment provided by the PTA. Our recent projects include:

Junior Playground Shade

A much needed shaded area with shade sails for the Junior Playground. The shade sail fabric is knitted polyethylene fabric, which will not rot or absorb moisture, and is lock stitched using advanced technology to allow for more air movement and better channelling of cooling breezes. This enables a cool breeze to flow through the sail, cooling pupils with not only the shade but also a filtered breeze.

Gazebo at the Infants

This offers a shelter and shade feature for playtime and an ideal venue to break away from the classroom and learn outdoors.

Reflection Areas

New quiet spaces in communal areas and classrooms across the school - a place where children go to ponder, reflect, and pray, and which help promote well-being and mental health.

Hi Viz Branded Vests

Ensuring everyone, children and adults, is easy to identify and safe on school trips and off-site events.

Redevelopment of the Infant Playground

We worked with the governors to provide the infant children with an exciting, all-weather play equipment area, transforming a boggy and underused playground area.  The equipment helps keep the children active and healthy. It gives them a varied play setting, helps them to develop confidence, and promotes social interaction.

New Nursery Climbing Frame and Mud Kitchen

We raised the funds through a school-wide sponsored climb and a crowdfunding effort. Some classes climbed enough steps to scale Everest! The climbing frame has proved to be another great success, helping children improve their coordination, develop self-confidence, and learn through play.

Wilderness Pond Area

Situated at the infant site but used by ever year group. The PTA helped fund a cover for the pond so that children can use the wilderness space safely to explore and learn about the natural world.

Junior Playground - 'Muddy Patch'

  • Resurfacing area, all-weather surfacing
  • Natural planting & reclaimed /recycled materials
  • Multi-functioning space
