Spring 2

Supporting Bible Verse

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit1 Peter 3v18 (NLT)

  • Communion literally means sharing deeply and intimately with others
  • The act of communion (or Eucharist) is celebrated in churches in different ways to remember Jesus' death on the cross
  • In taking communion, bread symbolises Jesus' body and wine symbolises his blood and participants remember that Jesus was the 'sacrifice' given for their sins, that they might be forgiven and given new life, hope and peace in God
