Both myself and Mr Burkinshaw have spent some time visiting classes this week, from our new Starfish starters to those who have just stepped up to Year 6.
A very warm welcome to the start of our new school year. I hope you and your family have had some good times together over these last few weeks, either home or away.
Congratulations to our Year 6 on their excellent SATS results this year; well above national averages and also smashing Kingston averages in the number of children attaining expected levels in the core areas.
Children and staff all made a brilliant team effort at Junior Sports Day today. The winning house was Lime with 102 points, and Elm a close 2nd with 99 points.
On Wednesday, our chums got together for the annual ‘Booknic’ which was another lovely celebration of reading and relationships built up between our chums.
Our Year 2 and Year 4 teams took part at the Malden Cluster Swimming Gala yesterday, with both teams winning gold, so big congratulations to all involved on this great achievement!
Some of our girls in Year 1 and 2 were able to show off their footballing skills on Wednesday and represented the school so well at the borough's football festival.
Year 4 had a fantastic trip to Kingston Museum on Thursday for their Saxon workshop, immersing themselves in the lives and artefacts of the Anglo-Saxons.
