Weekly Parent Update - Friday 6th June

Some of our girls in Year 1 and 2 were able to show off their footballing skills on Wednesday and represented the school so well at the borough's football festival.

Weekly Update from Mr Meehan

So, it’s the event of the summer tomorrow - our PTA Christ Church Summer Fair! Do come along and support our new look Summer Fair, held at the junior site and open for business between 1-4pm.  Thank you for all your donations for this, and the hard work of the PTA to make this event happen. The weather forecast looks questionable - but we won’t let that dampen our spirits!

Thanks to previous PTA fund-raising, we have been able to transform our junior playground this year with a new astro pitch and our new climbing equipment, which we’ve opened just this week. We have plenty more exciting plans, so it would be great to continue our great fund-raising at tomorrow’s big event. I hope lots of our families can join us.

It was certainly an exciting start to our week, with the ‘official opening’ of our new play equipment. It’s also been wonderful to begin hearing the children’s entries into the Poetry Recital and Story Telling Competition, as we head towards the finals in a couple of weeks’ time.

It’s always good to try out new skills and our junior children have had the chance today and yesterday to try out fencing. You’ll find a piece of the action on our Instagram page.

Some of our girls in Year 1 and 2 were able to show off their footballing skills on Wednesday and represented the school so well at this football festival, and had lots of fun at the same time!

Next week, Miss Galloway joins our staff team, and she will be working at our breakfast club and as a teaching assistant on the infant site. We will have more staff news to share later in the term. Miss Galloway has worked on our team previously, so it’s a delight to welcome her back.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend - and hope to see lots of you tomorrow!
