Weekly Parent Update - Friday 9th January

This half term, our iShare Learning theme is Words of Life, which includes thinking carefully about the words we choose and the impact they can have on others.

Weekly Update from Mr Meehan

Welcome back after the Christmas holidays. I hope you and your family had a lovely break together, with some special times. It has been a cold start to the term, but the sun has been shining!

This half term, our iShare Learning theme is Words of Life, which includes thinking carefully about the words we choose and the impact they can have on others. Our focus Bible verse is Ephesians 4:29: “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

As part of this theme, we will be exploring how our words can bring hope, show respect and reflect our school values. We would love your support at home by talking with your child about how words can make a difference — both spoken and written — and how choosing the right words can help others feel valued and included, aiming to use our words wisely.

We are looking forward to an exciting term ahead. Already this week, the juniors have enjoyed having visiting author Tomos Roberts in today and yesterday and our Early Years and Year 1 children are looking forward to drama workshops in school next Tuesday.

Also next week, we’d like to invite you all to our parent coffee morning and talk on Friday 16th January at the junior site at 9am. Our speaker is from the charity ADHD Embrace, and, whilst these events are aimed at parents of children with SEN, all parents are more than welcome to this event.

In the meantime, have a lovely weekend and let’s hope we warm up!
